Missions and Needs

Site lists volunteer & mission opportunities

The Presbyterian Church (USA) recently launched a new Web-based employment referral site that adds mission and volunteer opportunities in this country and around the world to the denomination's online search service for church professionals.

The "One Door" site, which became operational in June, offers opportunities for volunteer and mission service as well as non-clergy positions in the PC (USA)'s national offices in Louisville.

Users logging onto One Door - www.pcusa.org/onedoor - may view descriptions of positions, submit a personal profile or refer themselves for a wide variety of opportunities within the PC (USA).

Habitat for Humanity Homestore

Are you moving and trying to decide what to do with that extra furniture?  Here is the answer!

Donate it to the new Habitat for Humanity Homestore at 1346 James Jones Road in Florence.

They accept gently used  furniture, kitchenware, electronics, accessories, rugs, outdoor furniture, grills, yard equipment, tools and appliances...........even accept boats, cars, and trailers!!!

They will also be the only non-profit resale store in Florence to specialize in building

If you are remodeling or building a house, give  your leftover supplies to them.

This is the perfect way for businesses to get rid of discontinued or scratch and dent inventory while helping the community.

The Homestore will not accept any clothing or food items.

All proceeds from the Homestore will be used to build houses for God's people in need here in the Florence area.  All donations are tax-deductible.
